Editorial Policy
Editorial Mission
Beyond Tulip exists to examine Calvinist doctrine through careful biblical exegesis, fair representation of Reformed arguments, and transparent sourcing. The intended audience is Christians who want to understand the Calvinism debate without caricature or sensationalism.
Editorial Standards
- State the Calvinist position in a form informed Calvinists would recognize before offering critique.
- Distinguish biblical exegesis, theological synthesis, and philosophical objection.
- Cite primary sources, representative confessions, Scripture references, and scholarly works where materially relevant.
- Avoid inflated claims, personal attacks, and misleading proof-texting.
- Mark disputed interpretations and acknowledge serious objections.
Author and Review Process
Articles are published under the authorship of Marc LaClear. Drafts may use research assistance, but final articles are human-reviewed for theological accuracy, source representation, biblical context, and readability before publication.
AI and Automation Use
Research and drafting tools may assist with organization, outline generation, or source checking. They do not replace editorial judgment. Quotations, citations, and exegetical claims are reviewed against source material before publication.
Corrections and Updates
Substantive corrections are handled through the Corrections Policy. Time-sensitive pages are updated or revised when new source information changes the article's accuracy or clarity.
Advertising and Commercial Influence
Advertising, if enabled, does not determine article conclusions, source selection, or theological positions. Sponsored or affiliate relationships, if ever used, will be disclosed near the relevant content and in policy pages.
